About the Role

As a Mechanical Fitter, you will play a key role in maintaining and improving critical plant equipment while ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance, installation and overhaul of fixed plant equipment including pumps, compressors, conveyors, gearboxes, valves and hydraulic systems
  • Execute preventative, predictive and corrective maintenance activities
  • Complete shutdown and turnaround maintenance safely and efficiently
  • Assist with plant upgrades, modifications and new equipment installations
  • Work within refinery and industrial process environments including high-risk areas
  • Maintain strict compliance with site safety and quality procedures

To Be Successful You Will Have

  • Mechanical Fitter Trade Qualification
  • Current Driver’s Licence
  • Valid Working at Heights certification (within 2 years)
  • Valid Confined Space certification (within 2 years)
  • Construction Induction Card (White or Blue Card)
  • Ability to pass pre-employment and site medical testing

Local candidates are preferred; however, accommodation may be available for suitable applicants.

  • Rigging and/or Forklift tickets
  • Previous South32 Worsley Refinery experience
